Erkert Brothers History
Founded in 1913 as a tire store by William C. Erkert, the company was
sold to his brothers in 1931 and incorporated in 1934. Erkert Brothers
Inc. entered the PBE business in 1937, becoming the first jobber in the
Chicago area to distribute DuPont automotive finishes.
